You know I thought I knew I was going to get another one... but plans might change. I might get a small pickup IDK tho.

What year is it?

I'm also waiting to hear plans for the MP3. What sort of repair work needs done?

Sorry Alex if you think were threadjacking... just let us know. But its a NA 91. As for rapair work on the Mp3 10 michigan winters were a little hard on the drivers side rear wheel well.

Both rear wheel arches need replacement, rear bumper repainted, as well as metal work where the rear bumper bolts up to the rear quarters. Pretty much the whole back end of the car is going to get resprayed, maybe even part of the trunk where the license plate rubbed through the paint. Already went to my painter and got an estimate, its more than I was hoping, but none the less the work needs to be done.

There is also some rust forming around the windshield, which I assume was caused from a prior windsheild replacement that chipped the paint around the window seal. Also a bit of rust forming on the hood.

Has a CEL for an O2 heater circuit under threshold that needs to be addressed.

As long as nothing goes too off course its no problem :)

The car is now sporting a TWM Short Shifter. Other plans to come will be tint, powdercoat the wheels, and hopefully a set of coilovers.

Nice what color are you thinking for the wheels... White???? I actually talked to Erik about PC them white and he sent me a P. shop of them haha

Wow, what a story. The MP3 is a perfect car to keep as a memento, it has so much character and is very unique in so many ways.

Another props to martispeed (Anthony) for selling the car he cared for so much himself, and thank you to Alex for sharing your story. I will probably never forget reading this thread..

White is looking to be the color of choice at the moment.

Although any information here is long overdue, not much has changed. The car now has 20% tint all around, excluding windshield. New battery and alternator as they both died on me. And an Alpine HU. The official license plate is on the car as well.

The license plate 'miss you Erik'

And here it is sitting for the winter.

I haven't gotten time to address a lot of the help the car needs. Right now the list is pretty long.

As of now it needs:

Oil pan repaired
Tires
Refinish/powdercoat wheels
Brakes
Clunk fix installed
Rust repaired in numerous areas
New windshield
Suspension

Right now I'm looking at around $5,000 just to get the car back to essentially showroom, and from there it will get much more.

Currently with school and terrible summer living situations there was no money made to put into the areas that need it. Its a slow process at the moment, but as soon as I'm out of school, and hopefully with a good job, things will take off very quickly. This car needs to be where it should be.
