how often do you get this?

I don't street race, but I do like to have fun now and then. There's a really big sweeping onramp that goes a full 270 degrees that I take every day. It's two lanes, so I frequently get to piss off somebody who just can't hang with the MS3. Usually it's some kid in a pretty new Mustang, but day before yesterday it was a BMW Z4. He came roaring up on the approach and blasted by (I was at the speed limit then). I thought they had better skidpad figures than that, but with 235/40 Azenis, cobb springs and rear bar, I caught this guy from behind (in the outside lane no less) and was about to pass him when the road straightened out into the merge section, at which point I let him go, same as with the Mustang, Focus and Mini that keep coming back for punishment. I suppose it might be the driver having the balls to push it a bit harder (or being a little less sane, whatever) and not just the cars, but I do love doing that. They always rip out onto the highway, like I'm going to race them through rush hour traffic.

Mid Life, did you roll your fenders with that setup or did it fit just fine?

My rims are 18/8 with a 52 (I think) offset. I rarely have any passengers and can't remember the last time there was one in the back seat. I did not roll the fenders and, as far as I can tell, I have no scraping going on.
When the family goes anywhere we take the wife's 4 door Ram 1500. Much more room.

In my first speed which was a sport one night i was rushing up 290. There was a guy in a BMW 3 or 4 series that was making a point to stay infront of me. Anyhow I did wind up passing him at some point. When we reached the end of 290 he went racing around me, and flew into the exit, which is almost a full 180 turn to the left followed by a a straight and a sharp hook to the right. This guy was flying! The speedlimit on the curve is 30, I downshifted and went in at 50 with the intent to sling shot out of the first big turn and take off. But what do i see infront of me, the same black BMW. The guy was stompin on the breaks and the right side suspention was almost completely collapsed. The car looked like it was going to roll over like a SUV with pre-recall firestone tires.

I almost drove up his tail pipe and swung my car to the inside of the curve so he clearly see how close my headlights were in his sideview so he could see how fast i came up on him and how bad he blew it trying to show off.

Nice. I'm on 18x8 50mm offset with 235/40/18. I'm thinking of going with Cobb springs but I definitely don't want to rub.

Although I bet it might beat the MS3 in 60' time.

My miata definately takes the Speed3 on the 60ft time. Raced against my friends MS3 with the Miata and I had him all the way up to 65-70MPH when he past by me. From the start I put 1.5 car lenths, but once that thing gets into 3rd, he pulls on me like crazy and it's over from there.

Haha, so last night I was driving home from school. I was cruising at 70 when another MS3 zoomed by me and I was like "oh crap! I need to race him!" Okay, not really, but I wanted to follow, so it looked like we were rolling together. So I took her up to 85 and followed him. I hardly ever break 80, heck 70 now, since I've been driving very conservative lately. (I'm trying to get 30mpg per fill up, just to know I can if I have to).

So I pulled up next to him and stayed by his side for a bit and then took the lead. I wanted to "thumbs up" him for his nice choice in cars.

Curse that limited power in first and second gear..... :P

I don't street race but that was a pretty funny story.
