How much would you offer/pay

Theres a car about an hour a way from my house, its a silver msp with 25k miles...they fisrt listed it as 15995...about 2 weeks later they put it as a red tag for 14500...just curious what som,ebody would offer/pay, im new to buying cars and i dont have muc to speand since im going to college, thanks.

well i got my 2003.5 a year ago with 5k miles for that price from a dealer which was a great deal. You should offer like 14k. But they probably won't take it.

It really depends on how much you want it.

There are several on here with less miles for @$13k. I would start at $12,500 and work your way up.

start at 12. dealers typically have 3 to 4 grand to play with on a used car

Dealers will try to use that "red-tag" s*** against you, claiming that the car is dropped to a "rock-bottom-no-profit" price. Now this CAN be the case, in which they just won't drop below it (my dealership did genuine "red-tag"...it was as low as we could go) But you have to at least try. I know I say this all the time, but if you want to manpulate THEM...make sure they know you are ready to take it home THAT DAY (important), and finance with them if feasable. Don't go in trying to negotiate a red tag without being ready to commit to buying it right then. I hope you get the car. I love my MSP. Drive around in it all the time. Sweet car. Got a turbo.

last i saw he was asking 12,500
and it had 30k miles
