How much whp stock?

How much wheel Horsepower does a stock 5 speed PR5 put out stock? How much does a CAI, exhaust, and ECU upgrade help?

BTW I'm a new member. Just got a great deal on my outstanding Focus, and couldn't pass up the trade in on this nice PR5 with leather and everything!:D

mine layed down 89whp on a mustang awd dyno. with an intake and exhaust it was 101/members/KYMP5/dyno1.jpg

I figured it would be better than that, but of course the Mustang dyno always reads lower than others. Was yours auto or 5-speed?

5spd. your right, mustang dynos do read lower more accurate numbers than a dyno jet, for serious tuning, mustang dynos are the preferred method. add about18% and that would roughly be my dyno jet numbers

103 WHP +/- 5 manual

based on the various dyno's i've seen......

I dyno'd at 106.8 whp, 9lbs flywheel, Mazdaspeed LSD, Shorty Intake, bolt on axle back exhaust (nothing special)...nothing special..... 60,000km on the engine.

So YP5Toronto, after all that time/money/effort the yield was only 3.8 WHP?!(scratch)

That can't be right! What did i mis-interpret?(RTM)

Thanks!

sorry....that was my PRE-Dyno.....before I added the Turbo... I have yet to publish my results..I am working on my own personal website that will include the dyno results after the Hiboost kit was installed. I believe my best run was 198 whp...at 8psi.

The flywheel, intake and exhaust didn't do very much for me...I didn't expect it to.

a rough conversion for dynodynamics is whatever a fwd car puts out on engine kw, that's what it puts out whp. ie my engine is rated 98kw at the engine, therefore 98whp stock. very rough guesstimate ofcourse, but seams to work well

Intake and Exhaust won't make huge gains, but they will be noticable if you run next to a stock P5. There are no ECU upgrades available aside from a piggyback or stand-alone engine management unit.

No easy way past the speed limiter?
