How much power would this make?

Approximately how much power could be gained (whp/torque) by adding a 4-2-1 header, downpipe w/ hf cat, and 2.25" catback exhaust to the 2003 sedan ES. I'm totally clueless but would guess about 15/20?

product dyno numbers are dodgy - almost never trust them.

have a look in the NA tech section dyno graphs. i'm pretty sure there are graphs of that

You might want to be more specific with what you are thinking of installing. For example, which header? shorty w/ primary h/f cat? or full length w/ cat in midpipe? also what brand of header? The AWR header ($499) with custom mandrel bent 2.5" header-back system (no cats) gained right at 20whp. This would basically represent the most efficient, free-flowing system for N/A FS-DE. However, a significant loss of lower end power will result with this setup.

I was thinking about the ES 4-2-1 header+downpipe w/hf cat. Not sure what brand of catback I want to use... maybe custom 2.25" or maybe jic...

btw, does the sedan have 1 or 2 cats.

20whp? Are we talking an FS, or a 13B here?

I'd say that combination gets you 10whp.

And instead of buying all those parts, just have it all custom bent/welded/installed. It'll be much cheaper and homogenized.

check the chart...

Looks like around 20 peak gain to me
The description is a bit ambiguous though.... "cam gear set to 0,0" this could indicate aggressive cams... not sure whose graph it is... but admittedly, yes, it is more than i expected... I would say at least 15 though.

dude that's my graph - i have head work and cams and a 2.5" mandrel bent system

you're better off looking at the NA dyno graph thread - the last one i posted has something like what you're thinking of

Ok... started to look fishy after i woke up from that dream... for some reason I wasn't making a sane connection there... i usually can't link to your stuff (work computer) Or maybe I've been up for too long reading f/i s***... no wait... i know what it was... i was thinking mp3 ecu also... your graph just blended in with my madness.

here's a quick tip... don't get a job you have to be at before 430am!

bahahahah..i love it. Yeah dude, a header back with no restrictions will get you like 10-15whp..tops.

Its really hard to say. I have the AWR header, 2.25 cat-back, and an intake, and have probably gained 16-18 whp from stock. I wish I had dyno'd when I was bone stock, so I could say for sure. Also, I have a catless midpipe in my garage, and will dyno again after I install it (if I can ever make room in my garage so that I can jack up my car). That will show for sure how much these pure bolt ons can get you. Not too terrible for ~1500 bucks. Looking for more tho.

yeah i'm sure i'd have more with no cat and no resonators (or two less restrictive resonators). i'd still like to change the resonators out for freer flowing ones. well not until atleast next week. got a dyno day this weekend where i'm going to get a new base run

U get roughly 10whp just from the AWR header, so with a 2.25" header-back exhaust system with no cats......like everyone else says, your looking at 15-18whp, tops. And thats assuming you at least have an air intake system.

I guess I'll have to add some large stickers and flames to get some serious speed at a fairly affordable price (flash)
