Hey all, how much of a pain is adjusting the Turbo XS. Is it something you have to adjust often? Are the washers anything special or just washers?

I need to hurry up and get a BOV if I am going to have my pipes installed in a couple of weeks, so I need to make up my mind.

Thanks

Yes I am at stock boost. The GReddy is working great...I have a dual setup, with both the GReddy and the stock BPV.

I don't have any stalling issues, and a great BOV sound :)

im running 4 washers and its perfect for me.

wow i'm bumping this thread because i just bought a TurboXS off my friend and i tried to get it to work, well about an hour of tuning and 3 packets of washers later, and i ran about 15 PSI and blew my vacuum hose clear off the valve. i wish someone could help me with this s*** but whatever, i think i'm just going to have it installed.

Slight thread jack, was it you that had the wastegate spring replaced?? so your stock boost is actually a couple psi higher?

No the wastegate spring is the stock one. But my stock boost is 8psi, because the Mazda gods like me.

8 psi stock? maybe your gauge is off?

I've got a turbo xs type-s on my msp and I'm pleased with it,but remember turbo xs is the cheap ass way of going,I would recamend,if you can afford, go with something a little more quality.
make sure you keep your stock bpv cause stalling can suck.

I have a turbo XS but don't know what type. I know it's not recirc'd. It sounds great and it's stalled maybe 4 times in 4000 miles. I didn't even know it could be adjusted. It was on there when I bought the car. FWIW.
