How much longer do they plan on making the MS3?

if they made 5000 per year for the next 5 years it would still not be a common car. that would only average 100 cars per state. many people are modding them making them less common looking. of course they look like the regular 3, so they are looking more common. i am getting a headache!!

get a labo or a Ferrari if you wanted something nobody else has. it's a mazda man, you cant HONESTLY expect to not see another speed3 and why stop making them? why would they? they are making $$$$$$$ off this car. if you were Mazda would you? just be glad its not a civic hatch. the longer these things are being put out, the more companies there will be making after market and performance parts for the vehicle.

Mazda sold over 76,000 Mazda3's in the United States in 2004 and you're worried about being unique? Do you think the average person can tell the difference between a Mazda3 and a MS3?

I've owned an MS3 for a year and I still have to look closely to verify if a car is a 3 or a Speed 3. It's tougher now that the new 3's have the same back bumper as the MS3's.

Just looked at the fog lights. They are different between the two. The hood is a little beefier for the TMIC.

I've seen 4 different MS3s in my travels around Houston. 3 in the northwest and 1 in my area (Galleria). Not bad for such a large area.

Every time one pulls up next to me, they always look for a race. That's fine, I'm not going to react on a 35mph road though.

My wife and I have a 2009 MS3 on order. It is currently in transit, sitting in the Pacific somewhere. The guy that sold us the car mentioned that they would only be making the 09 MS3's up til November of this year, effectivly making it only 1/2 year production. And the 2008.5 and 2009's are apparently exactly the same with no changes, just depends on what month it was produced.

Thats a dealer printed sticker not a factory sticker. Its relabeled as an 09 but i bet it has a low 08 build date.
That's a factory sticker. The car had just been unloaded off the transporter. The dealer hadn't even seen it yet.

car and driver also said that they would be making the rx7 again in 2009. they say a lot. i would get in tight with the GM at a dealership and find out for sure what the allocation is going to be. the GM's usually know what is going on with the new models more than a car magazine does. i don't trust anything that car and driver has to say.
RX-7 or CX-7? The new RX is the 9

I don't remember one, but that's not definitive. I can't remember all the way back, but I remember the RX-4 and the -7. I can't remember where I saw the picture, but the new RX-9 has 19" wheels. I don't remember much other detail. I'll try and trip over the picture I saw and post it up. Maybe "RX-9" was not going to be the production name.
