I'm bringing her in to get the windows done next week. I'm looking for a consensus of tint levels from everyone...I want to keep the same level all the way around and want to keep it to the point where you can see in (keepin' it at least psuedo legal), though not too clearly...any reccomendations? :D

I'M THINKING OF GOING VERY LIGHT ALL AROUND EVEN THE FRONT WINDSHILD.
I KNOW ITS NOT LEGAL BUT IF I GO REAL LIGHT
I DONT THINK I'LL GET BOTHERED.
IT WILL GIVE IT A NICE SMOOTH LOOK, I THINK
ISNT IT TOO COLD TO TINT JUST YET?

I'm having some shop do it that guarantees it for life, no matter what reason...so if it gets f'ed up due to cold, it gets fixed.
:D

i did 35% all around and 20% on the back. its dark enough for me. I dont have any pics on hand of it though

well man i ave a yellow one and i tinted it 35%platinum and i like the way it looks just right

I'm actually have my tints done as we speak... I got 20% front 5% back and 20% back windshield so atleast i can drive safely cause my last car i had 5% all around...it wasnt too cool to drive it. No matter what tint you get it's illegal might as well get no tint at all if your going with the lightest. If you want I'll try to post up pictures of how it came out.

A tip from a fellow Pennsylvanian, use a very light tint on all the windows, you may not be bothered by the police then, If you tint darker, don't tint the front windows, you still should be ok. PA law is that you are not allowed to tint any windows at all unless applied at the factory. You shouldn't get bothered if you leave the front windows alone though. A friend is a seargent for PSP and that is his interpertation of the law. He cautions that local departments can (and usually do) have a different idea depending on the officer's mood of the day. FYI

Here in AZ you are required by law if you have tint that it be no darker than 20% on the front and no limit elsewhere. You can have a tint strip on the top front of the windshield. It cannot be longer than six inches from the top of the windshield to the bottom of the strip. There is no limit for the % of the windshield strip. You do see alot of people use white vinyl to block that area. For 20% tint you can see in the car in the day. But a little hard at night. But you can see out. I went with 5% all around. Looks tight! Some may think real dark is ghetto but I love it. BTW I had 2% all around on my Probe ( seriously 2% ), it was tricky at first, and very hard to see at night but you do get used to it after 2-3 weeks then I could drive normally. 99.9% of the police in Phx metro area dont bother foolin with tint tickets, they always have more serious crap to deal with. ( AZ Highway Patrol has 5% all the way around on most of thier units, and yea its illegal ) But if you do go illegal make sure you know someone who will sign your tint ticket ( repair ticket ) if you do get one. Just dont drive your car to court to show them your repair ticket, sometimes if you have it with you they will inspect the car. Hope that helps and some info too!

be nice if we had some pics of the cars and noted what their tint rating was. I'm getting mine done as soon as the snow goes as well. I bought the car late in the year last year, and I'm DYING to start doing her up some. No point in the winter.

Yea I seriously wish I had a digital camera. I do have a Fax-scanner-copier-etc. But have been to lazy to go and buy the correct USB cable  .

On my car, I have 35% on the whole front windshield....and then i have a 5% strip across half the windshield also. Then the rest of the windows are 5% so you cant see me during theday or night. Its fun....it is like i am in sniper mode....but if you leave the windows up you can just watchpeople star at your car and they dont know you are looking at them. I know you people dont like it dark but everyone in my home town wants to know who is in what car and this case it brings more attn. I also feel like i am in a jet with the front strip its cool
