Our dealership here in Biloxi had 21 P5's in stock, but all but 6 or 7 were automatic transmission.

I had nailed down a price of $15,349 on a new base model with floor mats, but then found a demo with 5,000 miles on it (and the color I wanted) and bought it for $14,649 plus TTL.

Now what is this about a proximity alarm? My insurance co. says I can drop my premium. Is there a "plug-in" factory alarm?

The option section of the sticker lists it as "Perimeter Shock Sensor Alarm - $220" As best as I can figure, it only goes off if the alarm is armed and something touches the vehicle. I don't know if it does this to anyone else, but if you unlock the car with the key fob / remote, let it sit for a half minute or so, the doors will lock and alarm will arm. You can't start the car until you disarm it (press lock + unlock simultaneously). I have accidentally armed the sucker while sitting in the car just by playing around with the remote - pain in the ass. My insurance agent docked a few bucks off my premium with it.

I got yellow so "they" say they could not give me as much of a break as other colors. Anyways, In Torontop Canada here is the cost of mine.
$20,000 + $1000 for auto+ $1000 for air + $800 for moon roof = $22800. Finance for 60 months at 4.9% and $4500 down plus tax and everything else = about $27,700

i think i got lucky with mine i had a 98 dodge ss/t truck i had a supernovi 2000 paxton supercharger and headers along with underdrive pulleys and a few other extras but anyway i was getting sucky gas milage about 10 mpg"s so i mentioned to my friend that i was gonna sell it and buy a civic or something in that range then he said he would swap even with me the only thing is its an automatic but its vivid yellow loaded with all the options i put some white konig 18"s on it tinted the windows and put my adj coilovers. now im waiting for the turbo and anything performance for it couse im a speed freak and i love import racing who knows i might surprise some civics or acs along the way but if nothing else i will look good trying. stay cool and stay ahead.

I got TWO at the same time....

ONE was Black....nothing but the standard equipment....nothing extra at all....paid $14,600 for it.

the second one was Vivid Yellow, all standard equipment plus extras, which included the floor matts, 6-disc CD changer, moonroof,and polished wheels with locks, paid $17,100 for it.

got 0% financing for 3 years.
