how much boost?

i was wondering how much boost i could safely push. Right now it is peaking at 7 and dropping to around 6. This past weekend i have added an AEM CAI modded to an SRI, the Vibrant TBE, and a FMIC. I am on stock internals and on 122k miles on my stock turbo. ANY suggestions?

10-11 psi. if you dont beat on it a lot. with those miles i'd keep it below 10. look around the site for more on this topic

10 with a good tune would keep u somewhat safe. but these cars have been known to break things at anywhere from stock to 300hp.

I'd go w/ the others, and say run 10psi. Just do proper maintenance... There's no magic number that will define when your car will break. Just be nice to it, keep an eye on those gauges.

9 max. you get one psi for a midpipe, one for a tune, one for a FMIC, and one for something like an EM, IM, or DP... start at 7psi and thats what i recommend to people as reasonably conservative.

so in your case, 7 psi plus one for the midpipe and one for the FMIC
9psi.

I've never heard that. That's an interesting way to calculate how much PSI to run. It's actually sounds pretty safe, as long as your on the stock tourbo still.

ok, i have upped it to 9psi.. just to be safe with the miles. However, when i find the time to install my gt2860r, would it be recommended to lower the boost at all? since it is making up for it with the more compressed air per psi?

See what HP your pushing with 9psi on the stocker and run whatever psi on the 2860r it takes to get at or just under the same HP number. Your going to have to do internals and prolly an LSD (if you haven't) to get the full potential out of that Turbo. Or else your zoom zoom will be going boom boom
