How many with Racing Beat springs (or MP3/MPS) on a P5?

I have heard all kinds of s**t about broken parts that seems hard to swallow. So what about you guys? Anyone with these?

I e-mailed Racing Beat about the supposed problems. Here is what they wrote back:

What do you mean by "work"?

As I recall they will fit onto the chassis, but their specifications are slightly different than the springs that we developed for the Protege sedan & 5. I springs will lower the car slightly more than the OEM MP3 springs, but not by much.

:wtf:

I haven't heard of any problems other than installing them wrong. Drop a P5 about 3/4 of an inch, real subtle.

I have them on the car for 2 years now with out problems , I have only heard of one guy with problems and it sounds like they installed them wrong.

My struts are OK, I've had the springs on since the beginning of November (~12K miles). I might have one rear going bad, but its the same location that broke one of my Rotas.

can anybody post pics of a p5 with Racing beat springs
also wut are the spring rates for the RB springs..are they stiffer than the Prokits
Thanks

I am using mp3 struts with the mp3 springs (as well as the sways). This all works just fine on the p5. The subject of struts has been discussed a lot and as far I know, the only alternative to the p5 stock struts are the tokico non-adjustable (basically same as mp3 struts) and the tokico 5-way adjustable.
