How many tickets??? How many cops????

Hey I've been reading all of the messages and have noticed the number of people (including myself) getting speeding tickets. Lets get a head count! So tell us how many tickets you've gotten with your p5 and how many cops where on you at once.

I have gotten three; 90mph in a 70mph 1 cop, 50mph in a 35mph 2 cops, wreckless driving and exabition excelleration 5 cops(stupid move).

I received 2 speeding tickets in my "5" in 6 months of driving, which is more tickets than i got with my mustang in over 4 years of speeding.

1. 65 in a 45 at night, 2 cops.
2. 50 in a 35 in the eve, 1 cop

Also was stopped because I "was following too close behind a cop" ????
And searched with 3 cop cars present because i was standing next to my car and talking on my cell phone.
My yellow p5 sure attracts attention, positive and negative.

well i have had my p5 for about 7months and i have gotten 2 tickets and pulled over 3 times for stupid stuff...i would agree this car is a definated attention getter....

#1: 91mph in a 55mph zone recieved a $200 ticket plus a 30day supension on my license that was with one cop....
#2: 70mph in a 45mph construction zone on the freeway.....got of with going to driving school that was with 2 cops
#3: pulled over for alleged drunk driving 2 cops was doing sobrity tests for an hour....

but its all good i still like my ride.....

I lost count of tickets with my Talon tsi, but I haven't gotten any with the P5....although I did get a ticket for 75 in a 50 in the Protege loaner car when mine was getting the oil changed.....OOPS!

I've gotten two tickets, one for going 94 in 65, one cop. And the other for not having a front license plate. He claimed he "clocked" me at 97 mph but when I asked to see the radar gun he told me he would let me go, I figure he didn't clock me at all. Insted he wrote me up for not have the plate up front.

1st ticket) 74 in a 30 and racing.
2nd ticket) tint over 5 inches, red hoodlights pointing forward, and white turn signals.
3rd ticket) white turn signals.

my question to you guys is, when they gave you tickets, did they put down protege or protege5? because, wouldn't it be a legitamite argument that since the protege5 is a different model than the protege? should an insurance have the cars labeled on insurance cards as Protege or Protege5? cuz i gots some tickets....i this would be a good case of information falsification.

How many tickets, how many cops. What a stupid ass topic to post. All of u that have gotten caught up are obviously stupid because bad boys dont get caught. Yall better stop relying on intuition because look at what its gotten u. I guess its cool to get a speeding ticket right? How about getting a RADAR DETECTOR...If that doesnt trigger off a light bulb in your head then u deserve the ticket. Drive fast,.. think smart!

i wish i could have used the let me see the radar gun but here in arizona they dont have to show you the gun plus they are required to reset the gun every time a stop is made......... plus they can also pull you over for speeding by pacing you..........i got on for that........ and i dont think its a matter of us being stupid korey chaos you've just been lucky enough to not get caught plus we have photo radaring that they park cameras on the side of the road and if your 10 over the limit it snaps a nice little frame of pics of you and send it to your casa........so really theres no reason for your rude comment.....just telling war storie pall........... :mad:

Hey smart ass (Korey Chaos) radar detect's are not allways reliable, I got one and from the tickets it shows.

Just to let everyone know ... Radar detectors don't always work. They only work if the beam refracts off of an object, say a tractor trailer, and your detector picks up the signal without you actually being clocked. However, that is an ideal situation, but then again, if traffic is going that fast, then you will not be getting a ticket anyway. think about the technology behind a radar detector ... It detects signals from any band they may be using X, K, Laser, whatever, that is being "shot" through the gun. But if the signal is reaching your car in order for the detector to go off ... then the signal has already determined your speed and it generates a LED display in your friendly police cruiser. Usually, when you are speeding, that display flashes excessively, just to make sure that the cop is not sleeping, or he dosen't overindulge on his cup of coffee. So, moral of the story, they may work about 5% of the time, when conditions are right, but if the signal is hitting your radar detector, making it go off, then he's gotcha. Sorry to break it to you people who spend big bucks on these things. And whoever may offer rebuttal, go ahead, I can take whatever you dish, but facts are facts. I have seen too many demonstrations by Connecticut State Police (my uncle is a cop) and with every new design they come out with, it's the same old thing.

BTW, I got pulled for doing 55 in a 35, and slightly inebriated to boot ... and like I said in my prevoius post, my uncle is a cop, so needless to say, I was let go.

I've had my MP5 since December and i have already gotten 3 tickets...
1:50mph in a 30
2:26mph in a 20
3:76mph in a 60

Plus i think it's because in a female and its the yellow MP5 on Cops

hey guys. i don't know if this applies everywhere, but here in michigan this is how it goes. 1)the cop has to show you his radar detector if you ask. and 2)if you ask to see his radar liscence (apparently here in michigan they have to be licsenced 2 times a year) he must provide it, or else you get away clean. cool beans, eh?
