How long did your Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires last?

I just got new tires today = got 34,230 miles out of them. Rotated them myself several times. Drove it hard and I can't figure out how some of you are blowing through the tires so quick. I probably had a couple thousand miles left on them, but they weren't too far from the wear bar. I got a good deal on some Bridgestone S03 in a 225/45 ($115 each), so I went ahead and replaced them.

Really - how do some of you drive and get so few miles?

I am replacing my front brake pads already though - dang expensive pads!

The dealer is replacing my fuel pump under the TSB, so I have a KIA Optima as a loaner. Man I hope they get my car done tomorrow!!!

A KIA? They didn't at least have a regular 3 or anything to loan you?? I think I would take a gaint s*** in the trunk of the car upon turn in out of spite.

Yea the funny part was the guy told me it was fast for a KIA. A slow KIA must actually go backwards when you floor it.

The stock potenzas suck major ass as far as wear is concerned. I don't know how in God's name some of you are getting 20k plus miles out of them! Do you drive like a grandma or what? Be honest..

I've got 6500 miles and my fronts are at about 50%.

My rears are at about 70%

Wheelspin, lots of smoke whenever the environment allowed includes track time trying to shread them into chunks. Still showed some tread at 15000 but all four were gone way before that. And the warming of tires does apply to some street tires but as a general rule you are correct Speedster Oh yes No offense but I hated the stock tires and wanted to replace almost right away. New tires have improved every aspect of the drive.

Just passed 8K and they barely made it. I've got a set of Kumho Ecsta SPTs going on tomorrow. Now before everyone goes an calls me a "fuckhead", I've got 4 autocross events 1 autocross school on those tires. Rotated them after every event too.

That being said, I probably need how to drive more within the limits of the tires. I feel like Harry Hogg needs to tell me how to drive, then I'll be 4 seconds faster.

Ha-ha! I hear ya man, it's pretty apparent that we have a few members that get butt hurt over any driving that seems you've been pushing the car to it's limit. And yes you're right some will go as far as to call you names like "fuckhead, etc" just because your stock tires didn't last long and things of this nature. We have a few saints among us apparently so be careful!

I've got the Ecstas on now and have an event this weekend. We'll see how they hold up.

I rolled over 15k recently, However I didnt rotate the tires till 10k, and the fronts were dead, not bald, but not great. Rears were fine, I push the car pretty hard some days, since I my FC is in-op at the moment. I also did alot of braking tests from 60-0, 100-0 and most of the roads where I leave are windy back roads. They were great for the wear rating, basically what I would expect. My next shoes will be hankooks

I recently passed 27K on my MS3 and had to get four new tires. My OEM Bridgestones pretty much had no tread left. I wanted to find out if anyone else ran down their tread and how many miles it took them to do it.

I was at 50% @11,000 miles when I took them off.

I did my first Autocross event this weekend on the stock tires and yea.. they won't last very long if I keep doing that. lol
