to increase boost all you have to do is restrict air going from "t" to the wastegate right????? so the more restriction in that line the higher the boost. so in theroy a smaller hose would increase boost pressure....im just playing with ideas and thoughts if someone can confirm or deny the accuracy of this id really apreciate it

yeah he's talking abou tthe properties of how a boost controller works, so he can make his own. AS for how it works, I don't care to go too far indepth, since I'm n/a and am apathetic for now.

Ek. Sounds risky. The one I purchased was only $30, and I have had no problems with it.

Yup that's all you have to do. Thus, a MBC is just a valve with a knob that allows you to restrict it more by turning the knob.

I don't think I could make one high quality enough to offset just buying one from JoeP, but anyways good luck.

Spicy - I was that guy that ran into you at Carl's Jr in Buttonwillow. Good to see you.

Sorry all the lack of puncuation was throwing me off. Good luck with your homemade boostgauge. Your braver then I am.

The primary function of the boost controller is to bleed air outside of the vacuum system, thus requiring more pressure to operate the wastegate actuator. A bleeder valve is something along the lines of what you are looking for.

I recommend a joe p or something along those lines though. I have the turboXS and it an excellent boost controller with minimal spikes.

"Ahh the guy who bought the right color."

im starting to like u already. black owns all!

That star looks familiar. Is Carl's Jr. the same thing as Hardees?

BTW, how do the MSP's hold up on a road course? I took my Civic to VIR for lapping days quite a bit, but am a tad concerned about putting a turbo'ed car out there. Any problems with the engine or compressor overheating? Any reccomendations guagewise before putting an MSP on the track? The lapping sessions we do are generally in half hour increments.
