Looking at getting the Street Glow Gold Series underbody neon kit...how hard is it to install? Has anyone done it themselves?

Keep in mind im not even close to a genius with cars, i can follow instructions closely but i m wondering if thats good enough to do it on my own?

i haven't done neons on the mp3, but i did them on a tiburon, its fairly simple, so long as you are mechanically inclined, and have somewhat knowledge of electronics(car audio, and wiring?) need help, pm me.

Hey derrick you are the man..i dunno how many times ive asked about stuff and youve had an answer...thank man!

I have a mechanic friend so i think itll be taking the car over to his place with a 2-4 of Bud to have him help me!

Aprox how long does install take anyone know?

the wiring is the easy stuff, the hard part comes in trying to "hide" the actual tubes, you want the most light, and the least visablility of install, take him a six pack, he will do it right, at least i would.hehehe

Ya im always laughing at the Honda boys who can never do a good enough job hiding their tubes! Im adamant (spelling?) about having the tubes hidden! I think i know how to do that, some guys in my club have put them on the Pro5's and have them hidden well, so i think i can pull that off

My mechanic buddy will help me with the wiring, thats where i always get lost, im brutal with that.

Thanks again Derrick, next time i come through Maryland ill stop by and Beers on me! :)

not a prob, i guess u can fedex the beer, because...when is it that you drive from toronto to maryland.hahahahah

THE PROTEGEs have a thin piece of metal under the car that hides the bulbs great. I have the gold series and love em. It does help to have a hoist. Best of luck.

Yes, DO hide it behind there. But NO it won't be easy. I took me and a friend 8 hours and SIX drill bits. Most of the time was spent drilling through that metal lip. The reason Derrick was able to do it so easily on the tiburon was because he didn't drill through the metal. Mine was a REAL PITA, but they look good. Give yourself a day to do it if you plan on going through the metal.

Dino, did you put them inside the metal lip or outside the lip?
