How far should my tip stick out?

Hey guys,
I'm going to the muffler shop later today to get my Apexi N1 (turbo size) and custom piping done. I was wondering how far past the rear lip should I have the end of the muffler stick out? I was thinking 1-2 inches. What do you guys think? Please post pix if you have them as they would be a great help.

4 ft out. haha j/k...get it to stick about 1-1.5 inches should be okae
