-put the car on ramps or jackstands.
-remove the battery brace and terminal wires. Unfasten the white clips holding both wiring harnesses to the ECU box (it's stuck to the battery box on the side facing the passenger compartment).
-remove the battery and box (remove the three bolts [10mm]on the inside and use a needle nose to undo the various plastic clips).
-remove the cover over the oil plan to expose the bottom of the transmission (about 8 or so bolts if I remember correctly).
-support the transmission with a floor jack and a block of wood in between. Be sure there is some pressure on it (not too much).
-the big bolt right under the battery box at the center of the square mount surface is the bolt to tighten. It will have a no 8 stamped on it pre-recall and a no 10 post recall. Use a torque wrench (with at least a 6" extension) set to 114 ft/lbs and tighten till it clicks. The bolt will require a 17mm socket. I tightened mine to 119 ft/lbs for peace of mind. If the bolt is the no 8 though, get the recall done.
-put everything back in reverse order.
