How do i upgrade the firmware?

Hey guys,

Just got my 2016 GT (cabpatch)
Was wondering how i can upgrade the firmware and which version i should be downloading.
My current firmware is 56.00.240 4A N
I'm told it depends on the origin of the car, my VIM starts with JM8KE and i'm in the middle east area.

IIRC, v56 is for Europe and probably your area, North America is still on v55. There's seem to be a slightly newer version v56.00.511A.

Probably best to have a dealer install firmware updates. If something goes wrong, its on them and not you. That being said, this section of the forum is for posting "How-to's" not asking "how do I do...." Your question would have been better asked in the general forum or the audio section.

You currently have a fairly recent software; I would not bother to install the latest A_N revision.
