I want to pull out the air vent on the left side of the steering wheel. Can I just simply pull it out? I don't want to break anything. Thanks for the help.

nope, u can pull it out... sorry

u need to open the driver door
pull out the panel on the side of the dash board (cant get to it without opening the door)
feel behind the air vents and if im not mistaken, there are two screws you need to remove from within the dash.

good luck!

I want to pull mine out too. Theres something sticky in there and I have to clean it.

Bump. I realized the sticky stuff was in the upper smaller vent and not the large air conditioning vent.

How do you get into there?

Not sure, I still havent gotten the larger air vent out. I assume the "upper smaller vent" you mentioned is the defroster-type vent, the one that's always pointed towards the side window?

There is two screws that holds the Drive side ventillator grill on. One screw sits on the bottom of the vent, the other is in the upper right. Have to get at them from behind, which can normally be done by removing the side panel to the dash. May take some playing with it to get it out once the two screws are out.

The passenger side is clipped in.

Yeah man, I just love my car that much.(naughty)
Actually someone probably spilled a drink or something before I owned the car.

I can feel the two screws that you mentioned REMillers but I don't know how it's even possible to fit a screwdriver to loosen the upper right one. Did you have to take out the instrument cluster/bezel? That's the only thing I can think of.

If I can't get that one out, how to the center vents come out? I know I can pull the panel off... maybe there's screws behind there.
