How can I tell if I have a 2003.5?

the 2003.5's have subwoofers???

A subwoofer, not plural. It's in the spare tire well and required the reversal of the tire mount plus spacers on the trunk floor. The cupholders have no cover, there are tweeters in the sail panels--those are both also right.
I have an 03.5 and have ridden in a friend's 02 and I have seen a couple of other differences, but I don't know at what time the changeover occurred:
1) She has a very awkward looking red light sticking up in her gauge cluster in front of the glass--is that an alarm-armed light or something?
2) It seems the earlier P5's may have had a shift knob more similar to the sedans, with a round knob dimpled around the edges and a shift pattern on top. Mine has a goose-head shaped leatherette knob with an embossed shift pattern.
Like I said, I don't know what these differences signify (nor, actually, do I really know if they are different--I could be totally wrong), but these are just things I've seen.

wow, i never knew it came with a sub, what size is it, and where is the amp?
I don't think it has a separate amp--I'm an audio newbie, but I think it's self-powered.

I've read that it's not really a sub at all, just a 5 1/4" speaker which is supposed to reproduce more bass. It fits into the spare tire wheel, but it requires a foam spacer (about 1.5") on the bottom of the carpeted floor flap that covers the spare. It would be cool to replace that with a real sub, but I don't think there are any decent subs which can fit in a mini-spare.

From the sounds of it I got a 2003.5 which I was sure of except I didn't get the Sub nor was it listed when I bought the car. Anyone else have the same experience or did I get slicked out of a Sub?

well from what i've read here on this forum I have the tweeters on the windo wing, no cover on the cup holders, clear side marker lens cover, 6cd in dach changer that was bundled with moon roof w/deflector. The only thing I didn't get was the Sub. (???)
Here's the scoop. I just bought my 03 about a month ago. When I was there I test drove the 03.5 and the 03 (one was auto, the other 5sp.). The 03 has the tweeter in the window, leather "ergo" shift knob, no cover on the cupholder, and the 6cd/moonroof option.
The only difference I could spot after litterally getting out of the 03 and straight into the 03.5 was the lack of a roof rack and the sound from the subwoofer. Which was OK IMO.
btw... I bought the 03 because it was a 5spd and I actually wanted the roof rack.

you shouldnt see a difference between 2002.5 and 2003 (US version)
difference between 2003 and 2003.5 (US Version) = roof rack and subwoofer.
correct me if i'm wrong, the subwoofer is available with the 6CD changer only....
and Canada WONT get the factory sub.

The 2002.5 has side markers, new style cup holders, tweeters on the front doors and it has new style rims. The automatic is sport shift automatic.ToysMP5 said:
