Hotchkis Rear Sway Bar Clunking Only When Angled Bump

I just received my hotchkis sway bar set yesterday and I immediately went ahead and installed the rear sway bar since it's such an easy install, I'm going to do the front one later this week or next.

My impressions on the rear is good except it clunks and the intensity of the clunk depends on the size of the bump and the speed I hit the bump.. But it's not just bumps, I can hit bumps and it won't clunk.. It's only if I hit a bump at an angle (ex: entering a driveway at an angle).

I did install them on ramps so the wheels had load on 'em.

Has anyone had this issue before?

Check your endlinks. The bolts have been known to back off a little.

I was planning on doing this install soon as well. Do I need to install the RSB with the wheels loaded?

More than likely its your end links. Check the nut that secures the swaybar to the end link. I have both front and rear Hotchkis swaybars. I love them, I have had them for about 6 months now. I had the same issues when i first put the bars on. The nut does loosen for some reason. I ended up using loctite on the nut to make sure it would not move.

Right rear link nut kept backing off for me, the top side. Use blue (242) loctite and if it continues go to red (262). Solved the problem for most of us.
I just switched to adjustable links sunday and will see/hear waht clunks with these!
I also am using the Hotchkis but i had the clunk when stock and almost new. Threadlocker fixed me right up. gl!

Well. Instead of the bar being pushed farthest up.. I noticed there was some more clearance so I lowered it a little bit and it seemed to have done the trick. I haven't had any clunking noises yet.. I did though torque the endlinks down to 50lbs with loctite.

I've noticed my front-end has been squealing more but my back-end is more than happy to rotate now and understeer has been reduced a ton.. But making a sharp 90 degree turn at around 40mph.. I don't understeer but the front-end squeals a whole lot.
