it might be a little off, or they could of messed up the hood when they were taking it out of the mold. i got the same hood and it fits fine.

dont get the pins.. thats rice at its finest

i put my car in shows though, gotta look all clean and perfect i thats why i think i need to get the pins so that the hood will look even it will keep it down. tried everythin else and it aint workin.

you've adjusted the rubber stoppers on the top radiator support under the hood?

I'd say the problem is probably VIS.. I've heard bad things about their quality. My fiber images hood amazes me, perfect fitment, amazing weave, crazy strength.. no need for hood pins ever.

yea ive adjusted all that and it worked a lil but dont like the way it looks cuz it comes up over the fender a little bit, nice P5 bro. where you have your pins is where i should place mine if i do get them right?

fenders are somewhat custom. i got them and they werent very strong. the areas where you would bolt them down were weak as hell. the hood pins look nice if they are done right, the p5 looks good with em on. it all depends. if you have tried every thing u can think of, go to a shop, they might know of a trick or 2 for your hood. nice msp though.

Please don't get hood pins. Ditch your wavy piece of s*** hood and buy something qaulity. ViS has some of the worst qaulity on the market and it will bubble soon enough.

call it rice but ive been in a car at highway speeds when a carbon hood flys up....youll s*** the rice you ate for lunch in your drawls. i do alotta highway traveling so i put them on days after i put the carbon hood on. i was in my friends integra when his fiber images hood latch let go and i thought i was going to die. yeah it breaks up the cleanliness of the hood but for me its well worth the piece of mind

thats your opinion and my opinion was to buy the hood and use hood pins for safety reasons. im trying to help inform other members of USEFUL information. what is your reason for being here?

meh I just have all the OEM hood gaskets in place.. the two front and the rear (rear is attached to the cowl but yeah you get the point).. my fiber images hood doesn't move around or lift up at ALL at any speed I go with the car. With my old crap CF hood (not fiber images of course) if moved around when on the highway and stuff.. scary.

im gettin them regardless, dont matter to me, i feel i need them just wanted some suggestions, but ill be ordering them pretty quick here.

uhhm yeah...the pins are there IN CASE s*** HAPPENS..not for someone to call them rice or not.

MTXPROTEGE509 - get the pins..BUT, the pins might pin down the front but the hood might still pop up on the sides. It MIGHT make the "bow" look worse.

its def an "ohh s*** handle" for your hood. after being inna car with the hood flying up at 80mph its def a life changing event. though my hood might not do the same, its def a piece of mind knowing if it does im protected. sometimes you have to "grow up" and look past the "its rice, just dont buy the hood" blah blah blah BS

They do make some pretty low profile hood pins, but if I'm going to do that I might as well just throw away the thousand dollars of PPG global paint that I got put on the hood so that it looks stealthy (as stealthy as a protege with an EVO vent in the hood can be)...
