Honda Sport Modulo Type-R

Second car presented by Honda Access at the upcoming 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon: the sports sedan Civic Type-R!

While the Modulo Inspire received a classy treatment, the Civic, in this Honda Sport Modulo Type-R version is as racetrack-friendly as you could ask for, well...maybe not as much as the track-ready Type-R but at least this one is allowed on the streets.

The racing livery comes up with a couple aero "tweaks" such as the orginal rims and discrete rear wing, the interior is impressive and features Recaro bucket seats, racing steering wheel with revving indicator, new gear shift lever and a bit of carbon fiber here and there.

cool stuff going on with it, but i agree that the colors in general are overwhelming.

they must've really tried hard to make that thing as ugly as possible. from the terry cloth shift knob, hideous tailights, and the worst wheels I've ever seen.

Thank God I own a Mazdaspeed Protege, God.. the Ugliest s*** I've seen. I really don't know what's up with the car manufactures, the Newest the Ugliest they come out with the cars, if thinks goes up like these I'll see lots of old Model Vehicles in the Near Future....

If they were gone it would look pretty decent.

Ya I think the 4 door looks much better than the 2 door as well. That thing is freakin ugly. Tails gotta go, wheels gotta go, interior cloth crap has gotta go, stickers.............not much of a car left after that.

This is like SEMA IMO. Main goal is to show what you CAN do to a Civic, but not what you SHOULD do to it.

wow, are those apc tailights >> loL...i dont like it at all.only thing that can save it is whats under the hood, but aprerently below 200 lb of torque is not gonna pass it.

Explain something to me, why doesnt honda just bring the Type-R badge to the states and get rid of the Si. They could make a killing of it.
