honda haters?

whats with all the hate towards hondas, and specifically civics?

i dont understand why people always put 'typical honda driver' or other ridiculous comments. the civic is one of the most reliable and inexpensive cars on the market.

the problem are the idiots that are behind the wheel, but its not just limited to hondas. idiots drive all types of cars, not just honda civics.

civic Si isn't inexpensive...in comparison to other compacts...sticker on an Si is like $21K here....sticker on Kia Rio is $7K....

agreed, drivers are idiots not cars.....blaming civcs for rice is like blaming spoons for Rosie O'Donnel being fat.

My wifes car is 94 Civic DX. Great car. It's just that they have become the stereotypical ricer car because the are soo damn common.

nice, i see you got the clear head lamps. looks good on a silver civic.

before we traded it in, my wife had a black 2001 and we had black projectors on it. it looked awesome. let me see if i can find a pic......

I 'LOVED' Civic's! Now they are just too popular. My favorite body style is the 92-95 EX Coupe. The CAR that started it all. I got mine in May of 1997 when Civic's weren't even being modded. It was just a small thing to do it Cali. It slowly made it's way to the East Coast and back. With in the first 2 weeks i had the RS Akimoto intake and Cat-Back Exhaust.

Now a days. Everybody and their mother has one. The import scene has just exploded! They are now just too popular for me. The looks of the new one just don't have that sleek look of the 92-95 EX Coupe. (note: the 92-95 Coupe was designed in Honor of Mr. Honda [road race inspired]) To this day I wish I didn't Blow the motor convert it into full Pro FWD, part it out and cut it into pieces!

I know I don't hate Hondas...my good friend has a 2000 Civic EX & he has managed to run 15.7 with just I/H/E. I learned to drive stick on that car. My 1st race in my car was against a 2000 Si...I was winning until I got owned by his 3rd gear. When my friend & I raced, I beat him by 1/2 a car. We are going to go to the track when his Falken Azenis come in to try for better times. His brother & 2 of his brother's friends all have the RSX-S, so I'm around Hondas all the time.

The cars are dead reliable..there's no doubt in that! But it's the drivers...As many have pointed out!

They doing the gayest things to their rides..and make the civic seen so ricy!

The one word that's alwayz thought of when a civic is thought of is RICE...Why b/c 90% of people who mod's their civics....go for all show..and no go..With..the Huge Exhuast..And Wings to the Heavens...No to mention..More decals than what they have!

Just the other day...I pulled into a pizzeria..and some guy..goes..hey nice ride...

I say thanks..

And he says "that's my civic over there"

The civic..had 2 different types of rims...Not to mention..But loads of decals!

I asked do you have a nos system..he's like no..I just like the system..

My favorite thing is pulling up to a riced out civic with my wifes bone stock DX 4 door. 13" tires and all. And then smoking them. It makes it so much better with the two baby seats and the car being kinda trashed.

IGNORANT people point fingers and make fun. For every finger that they point, there's probably just as many pointed right back at them.

Here's my thing: If you shun other car enthusiasts, you never know what a friend you could have and what chances you could have to share knowledge and comradery. (sp?)

I have had many friends who have had all makes of cars from foreign to domestic. We all got along and learned from each other. The most important thing we learned was to respect other auto enthusiasts, because we all share the same passion: two or four wheels in motion.

So for those haters, stop hating for one minute, put differences aside, and realize who you are cutting down is just like you; it's just their taste for mods/make of car that may be different.

Ive got alot of friends that drive honda's. None of them are riced out, and all are faster than my mp3 well all except the type r, but its only slower because its still basicly stock aside from suspension work.

honda's have a ton of potential because of their huge aftermarket support, so of course, with all that support your going to end up with crap, and people then buy that crap, and then you end up with rice. Its starting to happen over here too, with evo kits, and *cough*buddyclub2*cough* kits. I imagine we'll have some ricey owners on this forum very soon, but it wont be called rice by any of you, because its a protege.

Well said. Especially about the ricey owners on this forum who don't even know they're rice. It's usually people who are fairly new to the seen that call ALL HONDAS rice.
