anybody here running a hks twin ingnition in there speed 3s im intrested but $500 is a lot n i would only dare if it was worth it?

also ken told me it helps in top end i mean my 5th and 6th fuel cut nasty so i wonder if it would help

The MS3 (don't know about the N/A ones) has the amplifier and coil built into the spark plug connector. To add this, you need major surgery.

actually to add this you just plug it in. it is a piggy back harness very simple to use.

It is more suited to big turbo and high boost guys.

You just sold me. What plugs should be run with this thing? And Im truly stunned that Rotus was wrong about the install. I think of him as the most reliable poster on the board...lol.

Rotus...do your homework next time buddy!....lol

Not meaning to start a war here, but I call BS. The thing on top of the plug contains an amplifier. The signal from the ECU is a logic signal. The description of the unit says "provides maximum voltage by transferring all stored energy in the capacitor to the ignition coil so that the ignition current can buildup quickly". Unless the unit includes new coils and caps for the plugs, it can't get to the coils because the stock amplifier is in the way. Maybe the ultra powerful signal punches right through the amplifier? Maybe it does include new coil/caps? The picture shows simply connecting between the ECU connector and the amplifier connector. This can't increase the energy. It can change timing and duration, but that's not what it says it does. I am not saying it doesn't work, just that it doesn't work the way it indicates in the description.

Can you tell me more?

So whats the deal... this thing PnP or what? An install a caveman can do is right up my alley!

The stuff Rotus is talking about, with one of his famous "how to" writeups, may be a bit less appealing:)

they are extremely PNP any moron can do it (not calling anyone here that) they simply go between the harness and the coils from the installs I've seen on a few Speed6's so far...

Im not sure how we would benefit from this when Cobb is going to release the AP for less than 700.. What are the benefits of this?

Are you 100% sure the stock COP are "smart" coils with the igniter built in?
