hks ssqv people please help!!!!

Is there a tap or hole for the stock bpv to connect to the hot pipe or did u have something to put in. Yeah i'm trying to avoid welding a flange on right now. If i do end up welding anything i'd just do the maf and relocated my ssqv to the hotpipe then vta. I can't weld my ssqv near my tb becuase of my extra dual injectors are there. If you have a pic think you can post it up.

K soze, so its the hole on the cold end of the ic, so you have the bpv connect from there to the cai. then you have the hks welded onto the pipe, where is ur hks welded to. not sure if i have the pic of mine, but i have a extra dual injector setup near the tb. I did try to create my contraption to try to see if i can use the same hole for two things. but that didn't work.

weld the flange on the coldpipe (b/w IC and TB) at least 4-6 inches away from TB. If u relocate the MAF then at least 4-6 inches from MAF. When i say "away" i mean upstream....or the first to contact air flow...hope this helps

Not sure you can see, but i have the dual injector setup that is about where u mention to weld the flange. If I did to the maf relocation, i was goin to put the maf under the injen cai, there is the cold pipe there, then block off the port it has already there for a bpv/bov, and then weld the flange on the hot pipe right infront of the engine, just after the turbo outlet. I guess for now i'm just goin to run my turbo xs, until i decide to do the maf relocation.

Whoa whoa... hold on here bamflee, 2 big problems with that setup.

1) It looks like you T'd into the brake booster on the drivers side of the check valve. Your T needs to be on the passenger side of the check valve. It is a hard lump inside the brake booster line. This makes a big difference.

2) You are sharing the outlet hole on the IC pipe for both valves. They need separate holes, ideally one on each pipe (not 100% necessary though, I had both holes on the cold pipe and it worked fine in conjunction with the brake booster signal). Definitely need 1 hole per valve though.

If your HKS SSqV has an adjuster on it and you purchased it within the last two or 3 years you have a fake Chinese replica. Most of these are found on Ebay. The ebay valves do not function nearly as well as the real units.

Real HKS valves have not had the adjuster for a LONG TIME.

THANKYOU!!! i was about to buy a cheaper one but now since u said this im just gonna fork over the money!!

You are correct. Mine does not have an adjuster.

Also, where the extra injectors are is where I basically have my HKS located.

OK so today was my day off... I went to weld shop and got me a nipple welded on the HOt pipe I go back home and put my stock BPV on and I notice a loud sssssssssssssss...... coming from the t vacum that comes from Intake Mani. so I replace it and everything is great car Idles like new, well when i was about to take the Vacum line off the ssqv the little nipple snap so now I need a new BOV Ive been working on this crap all day.....(bang)

505zoom Thanks for the good looks, I was pondering about that lump in the brake booster, saying thats a one way valve so it holds in the pressure for the brake booster. I'll swap that out when I get a chance. About the double tap into the cold pipe for each bov and bpv. I was trying to cheat, no lie, I'm avoiding having to weld a flange on. I might try using the hks with the changed locating of my brake booster tap first, see how that works. If it doesn't i'm goin to just use my old turbo xs right now, until i do a maf relocation and weld my flange for the hks on the hot pipe and just vta.

blkonblkMsp, Damn man sorry to hear that the nipple snapped I know someone in the the fs is selling his with the adjuster for like 160 shipped. I posted on his thread to maybe pm you about it, so you might pick up one for cheap, good luck with that.

So by tapping into the hot pipe then to your intake helped kill the turkey. Where was your hks located on your cold pipe? If you can, do you have a picture.

About having a real hks, i'm pretty sure I do have a real one, I mean it has the hks on it, but I def bought it used and not new off of ebay. Is there any way to confirm if its a tru hks?

Ok so I am now RE-cerculating got me a new nice and shiny REAL HKS BOV, I also notice this one doesnt come with an adjustment screw. Ok so im getting the swoot from the BPV but no swoosh from the BOV could it be because of the jack*** that installed it for me gave it a weak vac. source from the BPV? is there any way one of you guys can help me with the tapping into B.B line so I can give my bov a stronger vacum thanks guys..

thanks for your help man, i went ahead and just got a brand new bov 200 bucks not bad...

Not a problem, glad I can help, tell me if that helped you by tapping into your bb, just make sure to try to do it down the line, closer to the intake mani, after the one way valve. I re-tapped mine this weekend. Didn't do much for me but i tried only the bov and not the dual setup.

the key is to Re-cerculate and to give the BOV a strong Vac. source via brake booster and kiss that turkey good bye....

So the key is to what recirculate the bov and give it a strong vac source, if so thats what I did and still nothing. Or recirc the bpv and give them both a strong vac source. tried that also. I hooked up my bov alone, recirc it, gave it the brake booster vac line, before the one way fitting, and still had the turkey and stalling issue.

I bet u if u get a flange SOMEWHERE on the cold pipe for the BOV you'll be happy....go get it welded...i promise
