It seems most of you have the Injen intake but what about the HKS? Does anyone have one? If so do they like it? Please advise a new mazda member. Thanks:confused:

Intakes

Dont know about the HKS...have heard lots of people having the Injen systems though.
I have an 02 p5 and just recently got the Weapon-R Dragon Intake....cool looking and good performance. check it out at www.weapon-r.com

Do a search. I sold kidkorrupt an HKS Supermegaflow, and he has a whole thread regarding the install.

most people are taking the cold air over the short ram as the hp gains are better with CAI given the process of heat soak

You can look at it and tell it won't compare to others power wise. A filter sitting there sucking up hot engine bay air or a remote colder air source....?

HKS is a good company but I have NEVER liked their "intake systems". They are basically just a filter and an adapter for an insane amount of money. You can make your own just like it for VERY cheap. Heck, RActive (sp?) makes a short ram for under $100! Why spend more and get less? I'm not sure.... :)
