HKS Exhaust

FInally some new products for our car. On the Corksport website they are selling an HKS cat-back system. Anyone on here considering this system? I was thinking possibly corksport before but I love the HKS name in general. If Apexi makes a system I'm sold.

i have the hks. i just installed at the end of last month. one thing i like is that it is a cat delete so the piping only gets cut once. also it is one of the few exhausts that is 2.5" inside diameter. there are two mufflers and one resonator. its a direct bolt on. if you diy some of the hangers are hard to get off near the rear cuz there is little space. my bro used some flat head screwdriver bits and wedged them between the hanger and metal to get them off.

i can vouch that it fits an 07 hatch non pzev.

the sound is great. its also not really loud. with the windows up, radio on between 15-20, and cruising at 75 i cant even hear it. when you accelerate it comes alive. its just awesome. no drone at all.

the stock is 2 1/2, so the real benifit here is the cat delete but couldn't you just cut out the cat and get the same effect

o sorry, i didnt realize he had a speed3. i dont know if hks has an exhaust that will work with the speed3. i have a non-speed3. sorry bout the mix up.

On the corksport site it's meant for a speed3 yes.

Yeah, I'm not liking that specific HKS exhaust. If I'm gonna pay that kind of cash for an exhaust, it better damn well be all stainless.

i actually do believe the stock exhaust piping is 2.75 not 2.5 on the speed3. the exhaust starts at 3 inch at the turbo and dowsizes to 2.75 for the remainder of the pipe.

plus my friends MS6 has two HKS carbon fiber TI's......siiiiiiiiiiick. sounds great...looks great.

I got the carbon fiber megan and im installing it in a few weeks with a mini cat and 3" turbo back. supposed to be the same deal.
