hks bpv?

so i found a great deal on the hks bov with a recirc fitting all ready. i am really interested in getting it but wonderin how much trouble i might have to go through to get it work. ive heard there big and u sometimes have to cut the tmic cover to make it work is that true? i also heard that u have to cut the recirc hose down? can u just kinda maneuver the hose to make it work? 3rd if i ordered the hks flange kit from pg? its specific for the hks to connect to our car right its not some universal one that i might run into some problems with right? thanks for all the input

yea that sounds just like the flange is right. as far as cutting you should be fine because i just installed my synapse with the stock hose and no cutting, so you should be fine. =] GL

If you get the kit from PG, you will have absolutely no issues. They make it really easy to install.

well i can try to help cause i use one. if its the hks vehicle specific you will have no issues with it from what i read. i know looking at it it angles different then any other flange and you dont have to attach it to the flange(it comes pre assembled). if its the atp style you will have problems clocking it fully because the flange flares out and hits the body so it wont clock fully. if its the cp-e then you can clock it 360* so it will work. you will have to cut the recirc hose for the cp-e and the atp(never used hks vehicle specific) and extend it. i used a copper pipe. i will try to find pics for you of the hose extension. check cp-e's site for the pics of the two flanges and clocking. you dont have to cut the cover but with the atp i have it rubbing into the hood ducting and then rubbing into the valve(probably cause i couldnt turn it (clock) enough but will never know i cut it before i got the cp-e). from experience the cp-e is the best flange you can buy for a universal but i would go with the hks vehicle specific. it will save you time and probably money when you factor in costs of flanges and snap ring pliers and what not. hope that helps will try to find the link.

notice how the valve points up and its not "level with the car"?. that is the atp style flange i mentioned. i also forgot you might wanna remove and turn the top hat thing so the vac line is in a better position. mine was kinking in stock config and was changed in the link as well. hope that helps take care.

FYI, HKS sells their own SSQV kit for the Mazdaspeed3. It has a custom angled flange that supposedly will not have any clearance issues with intakes or the TMIC cover.

well the one im considering buying was on a ms6 so its specifically for our car and i wana get the hks ssqv flange kit from pg think ill have many probs?
