High pitch noise when turning off car (2021 Mazda CX-5)

I'd suggest you try to record it again. I turned my speakers up all the way and couldn't hear any distinguishable noise!

Have someone stand outside the car when you turn it off. Have them concentrate on the headlight with their ears and hands. If they hear it making noise and they feel a vibration, it could be a bad headlight motor. Adaptive headlights return to their default position when the car shuts off.

A friend of mine was bothered by this and Mazda replaced it on her 2022 Grand Touring. You would think a dealership would have them in stock but they had to order one which required a second trip back for the replacement.

If my description sounds like your problem I suggest asking them if the headlight is in stock when you call for the initial appointment.

Can't find it but seem to remember a thread about this. I think it came down to a brief run of the fuel pump. My 2018 did this.

All I could hear was birds chirping. If you could record it again in a quiet garage or something, I'm sure that would help a lot.

Found fuel pump thread.
