I fail at reading? Uhm no...I fail at members locations. As someone already pointed out Truboosts car is in Illinois which I mistook for Laloosh. So if you are going to try and insult me, at least know why you are insulting me.

BTW...for a new guy you sure seem to know a lot about past members here.....

D'oh! That's right...I was getting them confused. lol

why are you a moderator?
seriously aren't you supposed to rise above, but you always want to get into it...

to the OP

man i hope you got a warranty...if not then trade that sucker in quick!

LoL. Well O.P is much better off then who ever bought my old cobalt SS/SC. I traded that thing in with a cracked piston.

i traded in my 2000 dakota v6 with a cracked windshield, a gay exhaust and some battery issue that caused u to hold the revs up for 5 minutes after you started the car or it would stall.

then i traded in my 03 se-r with a disconnected 02 sensor, it reset the ecu in the parking lot to shut of the SES light..lol

my celica gt-s i traded in in better shape at 94500 then it was when i bought it with 57800, except 2nd gear was grinding in the cold

tracrat: i know this sucks, but if you really want to get this car working again, you will need to:

1. replace the spark plugs that are current in the car with stock iridium plugs. the NGK 1 step colder plugs that are in there now are probably fouled up by now and causing misfires and hesitation. these plugs were put in there so that laloosh could run higher boost, but because they are a step colder and probably gapped tighter than stock, they foul up faster than the stock plugs. replace them and you should be clear of misfires.

2. get a new fuel pump. you should be able to get the dealership to help you out with this, because it looks like laloosh did a quick fix and traded for a bad pump. your other alternative is to buy a CPE aftermarket rebuilt fuel pump, but that's pretty pricey at ~$600-650 or so.

ya, you got a raw deal here, but it's possible to fix this up if you really want to try. unfortunately, it is taking a risk, because this car does have a lot of history and experimentation behind it. laloosh definitely wasn't shy about modding the hell out of his car, but he was also not an idiot about it and had a good idea of what he was doing. he had a GT35R in there, which is a HUGE turbo, and still managed to keep from blowing the thing up because he was careful not to let it boost beyond what the engine could handle. i don't know what any of us can tell you to make you feel better, but if you're willing to take the risk, then you can probably get the car into good working shape pretty easily with these two steps.

one important thing to do before you attempt to get it working smoothly again, though: i would definitely do a compression test and make sure that all the cylinders are the same, because if anything is messed up, it's time to cut your losses and baaaail!!! (eek2)

good luck, man...keep us posted on what you plan to do and we will do our best to support you!

it's too bad loosh can't come here to tell the tale himself. lol

he didn't sell it to you..lol

i drove your car across the etown parking lot once, i liked it. and there are some vids of it smoking me on youtube..lol
