HID Pics finally!!!

That's HOT!!

Definitely like it. What kit is that? Looks like the Phillips kit. Is that just a standard kit for an H7 application? How much did it run you? I was also thinking of doing this with my P5. Thanks for the pics. They look great.

My sig says it all. They are phillips ballasts. It is a universal kit for all H7's. It ran me about 460.00 but it is definitely the most satisfying mod I have done to my car. When I drvie down the freeway and the lanes are clear I feel like I'm going down a runway because all the markers on the ground brightly light up blue and green. As far as intallation goes it only took a few minutes with only a drill and a screwdriver to mount the ballasts. The kit installed perfectly except for the fuses. It comes with standard 25 amp fuses but our cars need microfuses so I had to pick some up from the auto parts store. If anyone wants one they sell them on ebay all the time. There are cheaper ones available 200-400 dollars but I wanted the best and some ship from Korea(4-5 weeks delivery) All I have to say is HID is amazing and when I drive I feel like I'm better than everyone:p

I don't have a good understanding of HID(other than it's expensive and a lot brighter). With it, do you still have high-beams or is it just one beam? As well, how long do the lights themselves last...is it a lot longer than normal lights? I know these may be dumb questions...but if I never ask, I'll never know. :)

OMG! that looks great, can you accidentally buy a set and accidentally mail it to me?....for free?..:D

NICE CONVERSION!

BigBlue, P5s have separate low/high beam bulbs, so melicha still has halogen high beams while his low beams are now HID

and HIDs lasts a LONG time, a lot longer than standard halogen bulbs.

again, nice job Melicha! :D

Zoomzoom is right HID is an electrically gas charged arc instead of a filament. Think of it as a really bright neon light. It last a long time 2000 hours

too bad the sedan uses H4

and current H4 HID retrofits are only for low beams (ie you will no longer have high beam :(), otherwise I would go for HID conversion as well.

instead, I probably can only get good H4 halogens like Philips VisionPlus or, god forbid, PIAAs :(

http://www.corksport.com

they are the real deal OEM parts found on Japanese Familias.

$106 for a pair last time I checked.

and use your own credit card :D

Actually I think they have fixed the Problem for H4's I've seen some that use a set of mirrors that redirect the light to a higher angle. I couldn't find a pic to show you but I'm pretty sure that that is what they do. Don't worry though HID basically makes my high beams obselite. I can clearly see signs almost 300 yards away

Have you gotten any complaints from other drivers (ie them high beaming you) that your HIDs are too bright?
Have you gotten pulled over before by cops for you HIDs?

I haven't gotten pulled over by the cops yet and I've passed a lot of them already. I did get flashed once though by some big ass SUV, so I flashed him back with my stock highs. An SUV flashing me with his high glare lights isn't that the pot calling the kettle black
