HID Issues

I used my civic hid kit on my MSP (bulb and ballast), but it wouldn't light up. Everything is plug and play so it couldn't be the installation. The bulbs are both hi and low. It was in working condition on my civic. Does anyone know what could be the issue?

The 3 prongs are probably in the wrong location? I know when I bougjht my cheap ass lights I had to move the prongs around

the 3 prongs all matched up, it shouldn't be in the wrong location. I'll try the bulb on my friend's ballast when I get a chance. Thanks for the input. This is prolly a strange question that doesn't occur so much to ppl so its understandable that its hard to answer.

what color is the top prong wire? mine is black. I actually only have 2 prongs. dunno if its because I don't have bixenons or what, but anyway, the prongs come out and you can move them to different slots. The civic prong order may be different than the msp order if that makes sense.

for the headlights, the civic has a positive switched system, and the MSP has a ground switch system. the plugs are in the wrong place. you will have to run an additional wire to have the low beams stay on when you hit the highs.

Correct, ditto what he said ^^ PS, hi Nik!

I took a couple pictures. I am not sure what you meant by adding another wire, like how so? Yellow wire goes to the high beam.

it looks normal for a positive switched set-up, like a civic. but, the wires are backwards for a ground-switched set-up, like the protege, which is why it won't work when he just plugs it into his car.

in order to get the hids to even power up, the two wires powering the ballast need to be swapped. if you want the hids to stay on when you switch on the high beams, you will have to change the location of the ballast ground from the harness to a point on the chassis.

Dang I thought i could reuse this, but now it seems so complicated. I might just buy a new kit and save the hassle.

Oh you mean like I have been saying this whole time?
FACE! (in my Jon from Delocated voice)

Spoke too early =/. Its finally dark outside so I went to try it again, buy my low beam is somehow recognized in the cluster as a high beam. When I turn on the high beam, it flickers and then it turns off. Whats going on?
