HID Installation problem?

Okay so I got a brand new HID Conversion kit from a friend the other day, it was a brand new box never opened. So I connected everything, made DAMN sure I didn't touch the bulb while installing, and now when I turn the lights on the low beams don't come on, only the high beams, I switched the ballasts with ones he was using and i still had the same problem, does anyone have a clue as to what is going wrong?

I would recheck the connections to the H4 connector.

hey just switch the connection from the ballast to the bulb. its going to look really weird but that is exactly what happened to mine when i put them in and once you turn the connectoin around they should pop on with no problem.

make sure the connections are all the way in. something like this happened to me, but it was just the connection wasn't in all the way. Even though i heard it click.

DRL? if you have a voltmeter check to see if its a full 12V current to the ballast.
