i know theres a thread similar to this one but i just wanted to get peoples opinions.

okay so i already have a kit in mind. it was referred by a owner of another forum but i just wanted to see if people know a kit thats good and or have good experience with. I'm not looking for anythibng over $100 cuz i know theres kits out there that are less expensive.

this is the kit i have in mind

anyone have any opinions?

I had a ebay kit in my prelude for about year and half and they were still going strong when I sold the car..

I think they are pretty good bang for the buck.. But thats just my opinion

I would look at the DDM slimline kit for the fogs. If you're going with the 35w kit, the ballasts are smaller, so you won't have to worry about them coming loose and bouncing around under your car. I think those go for $70 from RPM, or PM Xenon Expert and find out what he can quote you.

xenon expert doesn't carry 10k.. and thats what i need to match my headlights

I bought the 35 watt H11 for my fogs. This is my first set of HIDS that i ever bought. I am happy with them. No relay harness. It was all plug and play. From what i understand they are the same thing but with a 1 year warranty. Funny part is the instructions say lifetime warranty. So what give's here i don't know. I did not take any pics of it yet, but they do look good.

edit...They came with the apecon stickers also. So to me they are the same thing.

Wow, not a bad package for $40. I may consider these for the fogs as well.

Did you have any issues getting the bulbs to fit?

Yeah, I keep tossing the idea around with HID fogs, and I think it would be a worthwhile investment, even with 6k fogs, then upgrade the low beams at the same time. With these fogs and D2S bulbs I could swing the conversion for around $100.

another reason why ive been thinkin so much about gettin hid fogs is cuz i have 10k lights, and the visibility sucks when its raining really hard... so i think the fogs would help it.. i would just need to aim them a little bit up from the stock one because those are really low.

You should have gotten a lower K rated light. 6-8k lights are as high as I'd go on a car, only because the light output diminishes significantly with anything higher.

I'm running the DDM Raptor kit for my low beams and they are fantastic. No relays included, and no need to hook it up to the battery. All I did was put dielectric grease in each connector and they are working our brilliantly. Definitely recommended for $55 shipped!

Plus not to mention the one-year warranty that actually works, good luck returning stuff from an Ebay vendor.

well im gunna try the fogs.. if that doesnt work then im just going to replace the bulbs to a lower temp. Steve do you think i should get a relay harness.. would u recommend it.. cuz i kno some cars need it and other are fine without it.. what do you think?

thanks for the feedback..

im prolly gunna try em

I don't think we need the relay harness, but it won't hurt to install it with it. You can buy the setup and if you choose add the harness later.

I'm sure adding a set of 10k fogs will make the lights a lot better. Hopefully that'll give you the light output you need/want. I did a set of 8k 55w HID lows/fogs in a 2009 Fusion, and that thing is obnoxiously bright at night. The lights are a little more blue than I'd care to have, but with the 55w kit, it pumps out a lot of light. I'm pretty sure the fogs are 35w and are pretty potent as well.

Yes the fogs i got were 35 watt. I stayed away from the 55's. I had no issues with the lights fitting in the fogs. For my 2 sets it cost me 95 banana's shipped!!! How can one go wrong??

If I do the install, I'll skip the relay since it's only the fog lights.

Right now I need to pick up a boost gauge to go with my defrost pod.
