HID bulb problem

Just had a go at converting my factory fitted headlights to a 6000k HID with a conversion kit. Got one done and looks really good... however... the bulb is very loose as it is smaller than the factory fit.

There must be a way to secure the new HID bulb...but i can't think of it.

It is a H7 conversion kit and is definitely the correct kit.... just can't get the bulb to stop wobbling.

Any ideas??

there is probably supposed to be a spacer on the bulb to get the clip to hold it secure. the "good" HID kits usually include those. take a look at your stock bulb, and you might see what i'm talking about.

got them in and looking good... but i don't know if it's meant to be like this but i feel as if my new lights beam is pointing slightly to the left (just feel as if my straight ahead view, remember it's a right hand drive) is not a as it should be..

Most road signs are on my left and are lit up very well, however i feel that things on my right are not as well lit.

Also when parked in my driveway (with walls at each side of where the car is parked), and standing about 10 feet away from the car, the height of the beam on the wall at the sides of the car is slightly lower on the one i feel is not lighting the road very well.

Is this a fault? a common problem? just a case of the bulb not sitting correctly? or just my imagination?

The beam. Drivers side beam is slighly lower i feel. (Right Hand Drive remember) Look at the wall at each side of the car and see if the beam is the same height

to check the beam, you want to park in front of a wall and take a picture of the wall, not the car. also, with a right hand drive car, you want the right side of the pattern to be slightly lower so that you dont blind on-coming traffic. you want to see a pattern something like this on the wall:

that solves that then. That is the pattern i have i'd say. i was just a wee bit worried that something was wrong because the right beam is slightly lower than the left beam.

Did you remove the whole headlight housing to install the bulb? If so, how did you remove it? Anywhere has the diagram show how? thx.

HID lights

Hey Jaypeemac,

Simple advice.... If you install HID's on your fog lights, make sure you use a relay that will be connected directly to your battery, in order to give the fogs, a full 12 volts. I tried to connect my fogs "plug & play", but there was always one that would not turn on... Or it would blink all the time... Since I did that, it all works well. I'm including two pics for you to see.
