yes overlap is needed on an NA low rod ratio engine (FS)...and not needed so much with turbocharged engine's from what I remember...low rod ratio engine's also need bumps in compression and cams with long duration in order to breathe adequately......Their are cams that are far too agressive for practical turbocharging, but mild cams such as the J-Spec/MSP cams will benefit both turbo and NA...they are just a little bigger than stock in terms of duration...everything else is pretty close to the stock cams....
