that's exactly how I prepared for the turbo install I am doing now. Of course I have been on the forums for 1.5yrs, now, absorbing like a sponge. I started with the basics: oil changes, and then started replacing parts on my own, and now I'm not so afraid of the car. The service manual helps a lot, too.
