HIBOOST RUNS 12.5 AT 112 mph

We went to the California Speedway yesterday with full race MH drag slicks and Hoosier skinies in the rear.

We made 3 runs. 1st was 12.9 at 106 MPH, 2nd was 12.6 at 110 and 3rd was 12.5 at 112 MPH.

I did not launch hard in any run since we have stock tranny, axles and organic clutch and didn't want to brake anything.

The car performed perfect in all runs eventhought it was around 100 degrees F.

R/T .622
60 foot 2.013
1/4 12.501
MPH 112.07

1FASTMP5 was with us in his P5 with the MSP setup and run very good at 13.9 and 102 MPH. With slicks, his car can be easily in the low 13s.

That's awesome. I'd love to be running 12's again.. Kinda makes me miss my Mustang..

If I wanted similar numbers, how much is it gonna cost me? I mean I know the base price of the HiBoost kit but I really haven't looked at the upgrades from there and I don't normally follow much of what's going on in the FI thread other than an occasional poke my head in to see.. I'm getting more and more depressed that my car DEcelerates on these uphill mountain roads here in SC. Figure I might as well go straight to the source, and I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this as well.

Again, that's an awesome run. Congrats.

The only thing you need other than the basic kit is a high performance clutch, forged rods, race slicks and larger injectors. (of course race gas to run 20 lbs of boost)

We don't have any aftermarket engine mounts or LSD which can improve the times a bit.

20 psi on race gas.

With some more practice, the car can be a little faster.
this is crazy!!! congrats man... i am wondering what is the exact set up that youre running??? engine management, engine build, turbo size, interco0Ler size, psi, fuel pump, injectors...anything aftermarket that would have to be bought to make the car drive like this!! i will be looking for a turbo kit in the near future and right now its between a hiboost and a mam thumper...

anything you might add to sway me your way instead of the thumper?

thanks man...if you want my email is dumbkeola@hotmail.com

congrats!! once you launch hard and get thost 60ft's under 2.0sec we'll be seeing some crazy times from you guys!! are you planning to build the drivetrain or just leave it as is?

Hot Damn...That might just be the quickest proteg time of anyone here...ever!?!?!

Congrats and keep us updated...got a vid of the run?

Juan...if you're looking to do business again you'll need AV status...let me know...thanks!

I know, in fact in one of the runs I did 1.9 in the 60 mark, but i was really scared to launch as I should and also the rev limiter was set at 6500 so I had to shift early form 1st to 2nd so I am loosing a bit of time there. We should improve.

what about my question??? hahaha...just playing
We are running the basic kit with upgraded Haltech E6X engine management system, 440 cc injectors, stock fuel pump, Pauter rods and stock pistons (a setup exclusive from HiBoost) ACT HD pressure plate with organic disc).

The turbo is an IHI VF22 capable of 350 HP and it is full ball bearing with our cast 4 into 1 turbo manifold and 2.5 ID downpipe.

The rest is stock. No other engine mods, stock engine mounts, stock axles, stock tranny with no LSD (yet) Quaiffe in the plans.

I think that our setup is perfect for both the street and race. We can sell the kit with a Garrett GT30R but then it will be a lot laggier than the IHI which spools very very fast for good throttle response.

I need to get to the TRACK........ WOW 20 PSI!!!!! I need to get a RUBBER SPONSOR...

then...I need someone to drive my car....because I am not a good driver....

Dirty...absolutely DIRTY.
