not to good..pirana had an auto p5..and he had many tranny issues...so he sold his kit..and bought an STI.

Also Micah..had a MPI Kit..and had smilar problems with his tranny!

Both kits were aprox 8psi on T3 turbo's!

thats what i figured, but i thought i'd ask just to make sure.

looks like i'm going to put some extra work in to the appearance then, since i can't really do much more to the engine bay outside of an intake and exhaust.

ahh well...i'm more of the show than performance side of the modification world.

Looks beautiful. Enjoy it. How come you didn't get red couplers?

Now always remember what your mommy said drive safe and don't drive fast.(lol2)

Yes, but Pirana was boosting 12 psi and 240WHP. I'd say 6 to 7 psi on stock exhaust is fine for automatics.

BTW, Pirana was using VF22 IHI ball bearing turbo.

I remember I spoke to juan once and he told me they have, I think you have to ask for it.

Shag...you are MOST WELCOME..and you can call on me anytime...

For anyone that goes with this great kit...you can also count on my support..Hiboost is awesome...but lets all face it we can't all be on the phone at all times...Juan has always come through for me when I needed him...I can only return the favour by being available to others that go this route.

Congrats on the kit!

a couple of questions for you SHAG, what other things did you have to buy in order to install the kit? any special kind of tools, or would anyone's regular set of tools work? Are there tools that can make the job easier? I plan to get the Hi-Boost kit in the next year or so. I want all the info I can get. Thanks! =)

Shag can of course answer this, but just to help him out, Pirana has a site with a how to on the install with beautiful pictures check it out.

Man, I wish I could afford one of these kits.

*Begins wondering how much a healthy human kidney would catch on the black market*

The only special tools you need are a couple of hole saw (2.5" and 3") to run the intercooler pipes and a 3/4" drill bit or hole saw to make the hole for the oil return line. Before you needed a special drill and tap to make the coolant sensor hole and thread but the new kits come with a special casting with the hole and thread already made for an even easier installation. Also the new F10 software is windows compatible.

Juan

Having some air tools are "nice to have"...but hand tools will do JUST FINE!

The only tool that I had to buy...was a hole saw...it simply attaches to your drill.

Outside of this...you are good to go. The downpipe and "L" pipe connects directly to the stock exhaust. Everything is so well engineered...to fit perfectly.

Juan.....is the new software for the F10?
We are getting the new F10s next week which have more output options and have windows based software instead of DOS. I already have the windows software for the E6X and its just great. 3 dimensions is a lot easier to tune.

I will let you know if the software works with the older F10s.

SO as long as we don't go higher then 6PSI, the auto tranny will be fine for a long long time?
If you stay at 6 psi, it will last for very long. Most people will tend to raise the boost. It is addictive.
