Hiboost FMIC Install (56k warning)

My kit is scheduled to be delivered to my house today... It's probably sitting there waiting on me...

... MUST .. GET ... OFF.... WORK ............

...... MUST INSTALL FMIC .....

Nice install, looks like it went smooth (2thumbs)

Looks like you have gold/yellow headlights bulbs. Do you have a pic of them at night. Ive seen a couple of cars with them and I like the way they look. I dont think I would swap out my HID's for them. I could buy those yellow HID capsules???

Any pics with the front bumper on??

yep, i had the greddy working with no stall. i had to turn the idle up to about 800rpm's. i did notice that it will surge a bit when you shift slow or normal. on fast speed shifts i had not problems whats so ever. the hks recirculated did have alot better driveability for everyday and holds boost way better then the stock msp bpv.

I do have yellow H4's...I'll take a picture tonight so you can see what they look like.

I like the zip strip top radiator support... Mine looks the same, they haven't made a bracket for us for that yet, I think we're on our own. Kinda lame, but it's not a big deal. Personally, I left my grill in - I don't go for the LOOK AT ME stuff...

Yeah I did it so I'd have a little clearance from the hump hose and the radiator hose. I'm driving around with the grill off for now and I'll probably put it back on later.

well after a night of wasting some gas...I must say the car feels great. It really does have some kick to it. I've noticed no overheating or heatsoak. Also no pipes have blown off which I think the T-Bolt clamps help with.

Sweet, you're having better luck than I am. My connection from the 45 degree "L" shape pipe to the pipe w/ the BOV keeps blowing off. That's the only one giving me a hard time.

I think I need to just start over on those 2 and get a better angle than what I currently have where they connect.

I did get to rev it to 4k and hear the BOV (in the garage).... sounded SWWWEEETT, parents didn't like it much, since it was around 2:30 am.

Any tips to prevent the pipes from blowing? T-clamps... hmm.. where to get those? Auto parts stores?

Yes get T-Bolt clamps...they can be had at most auto parts store...try Napa. I went with T-Bolt clamps from the start cause I've always had problems with worm clamps when it comes to intercooler piping. I've dogged on the car pretty good today and it's held up fine at 10 psi.

I was driving today and noticed that the response of the turbo has drastically increased. It spools up much quicker especially in 4th and 5th gear. I don't know why I didn't do a front mount sooner.
