hiboost fmic help

the bpv should be coming off of your turbo>ic pipe then going into your cai.

Fmic eliminates it,unless i put some type of fitting on the ic pipe, right now the U bend on the cai is pluged since the other side of the bpv cant be hooked up to the ic pipe.will moving the maf to the ic pipe prevent stalling?

The stalling is from the BOV. Moving the Mass Air will fx it.

The mass air meters the air coming in the intake.

When the valve opens, a rush of air gets metered but the air isn't actually going into the engine.

THe ECU thinks you have just MASHED the gas to the floor and want to accelerate so it dumps a ton of gas into the intake, but there is no air to burn it and you stall out.

By moving the Mass Air, you will only meter the air entering the Throttle.

i dont know if you have enough room to relocate the MAF sensor because the BOV is so close to the throttle body. mine is just like yours and i didnt have enough room so i just ran the dual setup. either way, the stalling is eliminated and the bov souds great!

i just installed my wideband today and looking at the MAF sensor, it would def be a tight fit. it may be possible but i just decided to go with the dual setup. i definitely cannot relocate the MAF sensor now because i have extra injectors for the mpi. these pictures are old so the extra injectors are not shown. hope they help! just tell me if you need anything else.

thanx for the pics.i think we could relocate the maf if we cut the lower L pipe that goes to the S pipe, but looking at the dual setup,it looks like its easier to do.Did u weld that niple there yourself or did you go to a shop?

i had a shop weld it on for like 75 bucks or something. i dont remember the exact price but he did an awesome job to not damage the hardpipe while welding the nipple on.

i dont have a comparison to the bov by itself because i ran the dual setup from the start. however, even with the bov and the bpv, it is still decently loud. it makes people turn their heads and look for the pshhh. there used to be a video on the forum. i think it was by "tallrd". il try and find it for you.

I thought mine was a couple of inches short were the 2 pipes connect below the front grille. But, after playing around with the piping a few times I got it fit fit fine. The only thing is, the piping touches things in a couple of places and I have 95 durometer AWR Motor mounts, so it rattles a little sometimes.

thanx again, right now i have the vacum line that hooks up to the stock bpv hooked to the RSBOV,Its LOUUUD!!i like it a lot,i wouldnt want it to get any quieter but with my unichip spiking to 15psi i dont think it will.I know that amount of psi is harmfull to the motor but even with the boost controller off it spikes to 10psi,this happened when i bolted on the new exhaust,i think a built block will be my next mod!
