Hi new to the forums...

Hey everyone I have a silver 2001 mazda protege auto......just joined the forums to see what others have done with their proteges and also to get info on some things i want to change on the car....
I'm sorry if I'm asking this in the wrong place but I was wondering if anyone knew how the change the door locks and trunk locks?? Someone stole my spare key and now I want to change the locks just to be safe.
Also I was wondering how am I suppose to change the bulb for my right tailight...its not the brake light its the light that suppose to turn on when you turn on your headlights...I tried popping out the panels in the trunk but I couldn't get to the bulb because it seems like there is a plate there blocking it.....Am I suppose to take out the whole tailight to do this? Thanks in advance.

FOr your locks , take the car to a locksmith ,he/she can change the tumblers and make you new keys , The other option is to get new locks from the dealer but that will be more expensive that the locksmith i think . as for the bulb you have to remove the light assembly . Oh yeah welcome to the board

thanks for the info macklum...but I was kind of trying to find out if anyone knew how to do the locks themselves??? I kind of want to do them myself as a learning experience....was just wondering if it is a difficult job
I don't have any pictures right now cause I haven't had the time to take them yet but I'll try to get some soon....
