Hi from OZ!

ok... so i really am getting a little lazy with these pics! rofl!

I have some time off work end of January... so have plenty of work to be done.

this will include the installation of my JDM WRX STi seats, and my Cusco Vacanza coilovers. as well as dynamatting the entire car :p
plus many other jobs that have been piling up!
should be fun :)

I will be sure to have a proper photo shoot once its all done... and wont be lazy this time ;)

Cusco Vacamza coilovers and JDM WRX STi Seats arrived Friday late afternoon.
Seats installed Saturday and all cleaned up today!

Boy am I happy with the results! :)
Plan for the STi Enbroidery is to remove it... or get a '5' embroided in the same spot (as in the same '5' used in 'TeamPro5')
Haven't got any great pics... but these are pulled from my phone:

Ok... So i spent the last few days doing quite a bit of work to the Old Gal'

Replaced Rear trailing arm bushings (front and rear), Rear Hub assemblies, Front wheel Bearings, Front LCA Bushings (Front and rear) and LCA balljoints.
I used all SuperPro Bushings, with additional Caster (LCA bush).

I also installed my Cusco Vacanza Coilovers, Slotted front rotors and Remsa Pads.

Unfortunately due to a lot of screwing around trying to fix up incorrect parts being supplied etc, i ran out of time to complete my rear brake upgrade, and it also seems that my Brake lines have never been removed from the hard lines... so am seriously worried about stripping them (Ultra tight).

Super happy with the results of these mods/ Upgrades!

I will summarise all my posts and pics on my astina gt thread and post them up here :)

On another note... I just purchased some 'Special edition 20' Door cards, with Black material (instead of yucky grey).

Here is my summary (with pics of coarse) of the recently completed task.

DAY1:

Rear Trailing arm Bushings replaced, Hub assemblies replaced, rear coilovers installed.
all went pretty smoothly. think was a total of 5 hours start to complete finish for the rear end and tearing apart te front end. (Including a lunch break and a mate came over for a chat)

drove it around the block then pulled up back in the driveway to tear down the front end.
loosened all LCA bolts, after some great difficulty removed the CV nuts... then called it a day and went out for the night.

DAY 2:

This morning I removed the drivers side Hub, have taken out all the bolts for the LCA and is ready to be dropped.

Passengers side I didn't get along with too well *Sad Panda*
CV is completely locked into the hub so I went and took all the bolts out from the LCA.
Then came back to the CV with no luck.

Tried a 3 arm puller (broke that), along with some "massaging" ... which didn't work.

I might add... it has been bucketing down rail all morning, so i was drenched, cold and very annoyed.

Day 3:

removal of bushings and ball joint in LCA's and pressing in new items.
Also, the removal of bearing from knuckle and cutting the inner race from the hub shaft.

Also Re installed the LCA's and removed the CV shaft with the hub seized to it out of the Gear box.

Only did a couple of hours... was still bucketing and had enough lol

Day 4:

Crossmember changed (old one was bent), then realised that the Rod ends and Rack ends I was sent were totally wrong!

Day 5:

Spent the day chasing my tail trying to get the right rod ends... no luck.
and also trying to ge an ABS ring... as the New CV shaft i got didn't have the ABS ring (was supposed to... but didn't lol)

Finally that afternoon i got what i wanted... so Day was basically wasted.

Day 6:

Finished it in the morning!

Day 7:

Wheel Alignment time!!!
nothing agressive... I drive far to many km's.
Toe and Camber are stock... with 2.8 Degrees of caster in the front (I wish I could have more!)

Forgot to mention... also have no front swaybar attached, as the BJII runs longer front endlinks than the BJI... coilovers are designed with the BJI endlink.

and the rest of day 7 was enjoyed! (finally :p )

celebrated by doing a mountain run and hitting the limiter for the first time ever in this car (almost 2 years).

Extremely pleased with just how comfy these coilovers are! Ride totally awesome! much better than my struts and autoexe springs ever did... and performance... well there is no comparison :p
also extremely happy with the Droop/ Extension that these baby's have...

Old shock set up was

RR:605mm
RL: 605mm
FR: 615mm
FL: 615mm

its now

RR: 606mm
RL: 605mm
FR: 604mm
FL: 605mm

That's measured from the ground to the guard.
That was just basically random guess' at the ride height... And it's perfect

Ground clearance is currently at 90mm

Poly bushes are certainly a bit firmer over the bumps and slightly more road noise... But that is made up for by the sharpness, responsiveness and feel for the road with poly bushes in.
Coilovers I am still loving greatly! Very comfy, not to hard and perform outstanding! Does not skip all over the road like alot of other coils I have been in (mainly due to set up).
The vacanza's feel like a nice strong shock with matched springs (well I guess that's what they are lol) but not your 'typical' low to mid range coilover.

and this: Remembered that they have been sitting in the shed for over 2 years!
they will be installed shortly.

Old Skool JDMness
They have peak warnings. Playback mode (so replays all date in your trip). And peak hold.
Bloody exy units these bad boys were back in the day!

There is a boost, temp and pressure gauge.
Have no use for the boost as this current point in time... But KL on 7psi? Sounds great to me rofl.

I should add... Although this took ridiculously long...
If there weren't dramas... The weather was nice and I was in a mood to work...
This job could have gotten done easily in the driveway within 3days (including alignment)
There was around a total of 3 days of time that was lost and wasted, either by weather, me being lazy of from chasing parts.

I would estimate 24-30 hours was actually put into the job.
But I didn't care... As I had 11 days off :p

I hate when you have to have a car sit around for a couple days waiting on someone else. In my case my neighbor tries to complain a quickly as possible. I had a car cover off for 2 days and already had a notice on my door about a disabled vehicle illegally parked on my property.

Everything looks really great.

Today is a sad day for the SP20 and I...

have officially decided to sell my RAYS Mazdaspeed MST-II's :(

change of heart... no longer selling MST-II's ... i just cant stand to see them go.

I did however... pick up another set of rims.

Buddyclub P1 SF - 17x7 +42 215/45/17
they are in the Limited Black colour.

Upload pics shortly ;)
