Hi Everyone...

First of all, hello everybody - I'm new. Well, I've been 'lurking' for a bit, trying to get some good ideas from you all - and I have! So, thanks! :)

I used to drive an Integra Type R, and it had some pep. I sold it in favour of a 'responsible', family-type car, but with enough chutzpah to still be fun, while having the benefit of 4 doors and a hatch. Read: P5.

I can handle the lack of power, and even the less sporty suspension, but what I find myself missing is the throaty growl when I bury the pedal, you know? I'm thinking about getting a short-ram intake, 'cos the CAI won't work for me out here on the wet coast, and I don't really care too much about one or two horse either way.

I haven't found too many manufacturers for SRI systems for the P5 - is there a selection, or is it basically the AEM or nothing?

Any leads are muchly appreciated - particularly if it's available in Canada!

search the threads and you'll see that injen make a CAI and AEm has a short ram. I think ractive might also offer something for the P5. Could be others too, again, search the threads.

Welcome aboard Sak...we are "home" for the awesome P5.

Feel free to explore the site...have fun and enjoy!

AEM and Ractive make short rams... the Ractive is a little longer from what I have seen and you can put in an area that has more air flow.

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks - it's good to be here.
I did some digging through the archives here, and found the thread about removing the air dam leading into the filter box, and so I gave that a spin last night - wow!
That really makes a significant difference, eh? And I can really feel the extra .035 hp it TOTALLY gives me.... ;)

welcome sak, eh. anywho, i have the injen cai, and highly recommend it to anyone! however, since it's so wet where you are, you may need a bypass valve.
