Hesitation...?

Went for a spirited drive last night and noticed a weird surging feel, especially in the higher gears (4-5) where the load is increased... What could this be? I know people say put the NGK's in to stop this from happening when you up the boost, but im on stock level with a CAI only..! Does anyone else ever have this feeling or know what I am talking about..? Mind you it has been very humid with temps in the high 80's the past couple of days.

Considering the only mod you have is the Cai, I would take it to dealer. The colder ngks are probably not something to look at yet. Is this a new issue for you?
 
It is the CAI! Others have had the surging with the MS CAI. Take it off and put on the stock airbox if you don't believe me.

What you should be doing is putting your car in a lower gear before you floor it. If your in 6th at low rpm's and floor it, the car doesn't like it and thats how you can pop a motor.

I do understand that, it is a huge and unnecessary load on the motor... Trust me i don't do this often but I noticed the surging so I wanted to be sure of it.. I am going to check all the clamps around the CAI and Turbo tomorrow, other than that I don't know what to do. My Dealer is a bunch of douche bags (Lehman Mazda) that quite frankly do not impress me with their knowledge of the vehicle sooo a dealer visit is at the end of my list but it is a thought.. What was that whole Coil Stretch thing I read about a while back? Do you guys think that could help too?

Yea I think so, I have noticed slight hesitations on occasion but this was continuously happening for 3 consecutive pulls last night.. Maybe the reflash is in order, does anyone have the #'s for it or I should just take it to the dealer and tell them the problem and have em' flash her..?

My car came with Mscai installed. Never had a problem till I made other mods. When I replaced Intercooler I noticed the the hot side tube was very distorted. And all my clamps were not tight imo. After upgrading valve and tubes, boost became consistent. I only know this from the huge difference in consistent power. Now my issue is the ecu reacting to more boost and supplying fuel. I will figure this out soon enough, but as I said earlier give the dealer a shot first and report your results! Good luck sir
