Hesitation/stalling

Ok today I installed a fmic along with an hks ssqz bov. The car was having low rpm and stalling issues when the throttle is released out of gear in higher rpm's. I haven't cleaned out the egr yet so I am going to say that might solve the stalling issue. The real problem that I am having Is the car is stumbling under heavy acceleration and back firing a bit. Where am I going wrong, I just flashed the ecu, replaced the o2 sensor Along with the maf sensor. Any suggestions?

I would guess it is a combination of the bov venting to the atmosphere, and a possible boost leak. Make sure all of your connections are secure, and be sure the bov is holding pressure.

Thad.

I haven't relocate the Maf sensor yet but that is definitely my next move. The problem I am having now is an intermitten check engine light and when that light comes on the car runs like crap and you can forget trying to wide open throttle it because it just stumbles when accelerating. The guy i got the car tuned by and ss afc intalled by says the ecu is going into safe mode. I haven't been able to run the code yet because it is never on when i go to get it scanned. when the light is out the car runs a lot better but occassionally stumbles and the catches itself without throwing the check engine light on. I know I am hitting some type of fuel cut. Has anyone else had this problem and did the Maf relocate fix it.

if you are stumbling with the SSAFC installed, maybe one of the connections are loose or something. I highly doubt it's the AFC, but yeah, double and triple check all of your IC pipes and vacuum lines, the smallest leak can make a huge difference.

you have a bov venting to the atmosphere with the maf in the original location? if so, there is your problem, the ecu is sending in fuel according to the air the maf is seeing, but all the air isnt making it to the engine, while all the fuel is. you might wanna check for a leak in the boost tubes as well, especially around the bov.

Okay, well today my plan was to relocate the Maf but I got caught up changing the belts and I pulled the cai out of the bumper lower bumper location to under the Hood. basically just shortenend the cai system, cleaned maf sensor and she is running good now but we will see how long that last.

I relocated the maf today and man the difference is amazing. The throttle response is a lot better and my idle problem has gone away.
