Mazda protege 1,5 year 2000
Hi guys

My protege 1,5 litre year 2000 is acting strange. When starting driving fox. from a traffic light , it hesitates when pressing gas pedal , and sort of fires weird/chokes for a second or two , before it goes up in rpm`s . This happens only when car is hot and at normal working temp. Plugs are new. battery is new. Have checked cables and connections , no visible cracks on vacuum hoses i can see....... no difference if car is at full or low tank of petrol.....
Does any one have a suggestion what to check ? (outie)

I had a similar problem, this may or may not help your problem, but look at you ckp sensor located at the crank pulley and make sure it is free of oil caked debris, mine was sludged up and that might have happened due to a valve cover gasket leaking oil. I r/r gasket, cleaned the sensor and hesitation stopped. Best way to get to this area is to remove the 10mm bolts(6 on mine) on the splash guard , of course take the right front wheel off, you can really access this area nicely, good luck, hope it helps you.
