Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this but maybe someone can help me. I need to replace the a wheel bearing on the left front of my car. It will cost me $225 to have it done at the dealer. So what my ? is. Do need just the bearing or do I need to replace the hub also, and how hard is it to change. Where would I be able to buy a bearing at. Thanks

you just need to replace the bearing. as for how hard, it took about an hour, my step dad did it for me but hes a mechanic. i bought it right from mazda just cause all the auto part stores around me were gonna take a couple days to get it to me.

I'm not sure if the 6's are like the Proteges, but on my P5 the front bearings require being pressed in. Removing the hub assembly to press the bearings out and in can be a pain in the ass.
