Help with buying a msp?

i found a 2003.5 msp with 78k miles for $7900. clean title, looks like they added a cai. just wondering if someone could let me know if this looks ok just from the pics and also do these cars have any major problems when they start to add on miles...i'd hate to buy this and when it gets to 100k miles need a new trans, turbo or even a new engine ...http://www.pursuitauto.com/shared/p...peed_manual-5663805.html?src=CraigsList&pid=1

Yeah go for it. SVT Focuses were always a favorite in my book. I can't wait to see if the rumors that we'll be getting the new-generation Focus SVT stateside turn out to be true!

yep....there was lots of tire shine in that engine bay!

when I was doing that, it wasn't tire shine... it was actually an acrylic clearcoat out of a rattle can. Made everything look brand new. until you put like 200 miles on it that is.

yea i checked out the focus last night, andsince my dad has a focus svt as well, hes going to look at it tonight, drives good, so im probably goin with that one if it checks out. asking $7000 for it, but kbb in excellent condition onlysays 5800, so thats what im gonna offer

You need to know details about the clutch in that SVT... They had issues.

if intrested i have my 2003.5 msp up for sale.. all it needs is a ecu and the tranny will need to be rebuilt.. i had a haltech ecu on it but i sold it and the tranny i believe its the bearings. the car is fully built.. for $4000.. youll have another $3900 to touch up this one.
